My Approach to Womb Healing

 

I work in a 1:1 capacity with trauma survivors who want to begin or deepen their connection with their womb through a series of 3 or 8 one on one calls. We’ll explore various healing modalities that align with where you are in your menstrual cycle so that your cycle becomes a guide and a tool to facilitate your healing evolution. 

I view your womb as a vessel that holds your emotions, your traumas, and your stories from your life and from your ancestry.

With womb healing, we look at what’s being held in your vessel. We then process and release what is creating pain and emotional discomfort to create more spaciousness for creativity, sensuality, love, and perhaps even new life!

My approach is feel it to heal it .. we aren't ignoring your emotions by adopting a "positive mindset." We are using practices to feel them deeply so that they soften and release at their own pace. But we're also recognizing that even if you've experienced trauma, joy, radiance, and vitality can also be a part of your consistent reality and we'll work together to cultivate that.

I have my social work license (LMSW) and am therefore trained in offering mental health care, but 1:1 womb healing is not therapy and is not a replacement for therapy, diagnosis, or mental health treatment. 1:1 womb healing is meditation, embodiment practices, and rituals to help you anchor into the power of your womb space.

I can support you with:

 

  • Processing and healing stored emotions after sexual trauma, abortion, medical trauma, and miscarriage in your life or in your ancestry
  • Learning to listen to what your womb and body are communicating with you through symptoms that seem mysterious
  • Navigating debilitating period pain and overwhelming emotions throughout your cycle
  • Preparing your womb for conception, physically and emotionally, whether it's a year in the future, or you wish you conceived a year ago

 

You might only want to explore one of these paths, but sometimes more than one overlaps.

At the core of my work, we look at your womb, your menstrual cycle, your lived experience, and the stories you hold from your ancestors. We then build your own adventure to make sure the support you’re getting is trauma-informed and tailored to your individual needs.

Here are 6 things this 1:1 womb healing journey can help you do:

1. Create a menu of self-healing tools rituals, and embodiment practices to process your trauma that align with the phases of your menstrual cycle - trauma healing is hard enough, and what’s even harder is being told to journal every day or meditate every day when you’re actually in phases of your cycle when you want to jump around and punch a pillow


2. Explore practices to connect to your body, your womb, and your emotions
- Your womb is a portal for embracing your wildness and femininity in healthy ways, rather than ignoring your humanity and suppressing your connection to yourself


3. Use menstruation as a form of trauma release
- bleeding is a form of literal release, and through ritualizing menstruation, we get to bring conscious awareness to your bleed so that you can use it to help you release what is no longer serving you

4. Unlock your creativity and connect with your intuition - we’ll tap into what your womb wants to bring to life, whether that’s a literal new being or a creative project, and we’ll take steps to begin the process

5. Reduce your period pain and mood swings - You'll have practices and strategies to connect with yourself and with what your body needs every day so that your womb no longer uses period pain and mood swings to get your attention 


6. Set energetic boundaries with energy sucking people and experiences in your life
- even if it feels scary AF to voice a boundary, you can still set them energetically, and when your energy shifts, the people around you can’t help but feel it. Through energy work and meditation, we’ll release energetic chords, ties, and connections to the manipulative, abusive, and energy sucking people and experiences in your life, as well as clear the energy of past lovers from your womb

What Does Working 1:1 With Me Look Like?

You can choose to work with me for 3 or 8 one on one sessions. 3 sessions must be used within 2 months of signing up, and 8 sessions must be used within 4 months of signing up on a schedule of 2 calls a month.

 

Sessions can cover things like:

  • Aligning various healing and embodiment practices with the phases of your cycle 
  • Creating rituals based on where you're at in your cycle to help you heal from trauma, including ritualizing menstruation 
  • Customized meditations to help you connect with and listen to your womb
  • Guided visualizations, in which we are in communication with each other, so that I can customize the meditative journey for you moment by moment based on what's coming up for you 

 

This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Every mentorship is completely tailored to your individual healing process.

I view healing as a journey, not an end goal

 

I view healing as a journey that goes infinitely deeper, not as something that has an end goal and finishes once you feel a certain way. To me, healing is the lifelong process of discovering new things about yourself, and there’s always more to discover.

Once we set the foundation, look at the first layers of your story, and explore a new level of awareness about yourself, your body will then give you more and more layers to explore as you’re ready for them. This is the evolution of the journey.

This mentorship isn’t for the folks who want to do this and be done with healing forever.. it’s for the souls who know that healing is lifelong, and are ready to begin their journey or to deepen into the next layer in a collaborative space with me.

And even if you have a very long and extensive history of trauma, I do believe that it is possible to begin healing, and I’m here to support you in the process.

My Story

Lindsay Sara, LMSW

 

I’m Lindsay.. I’m a trauma-informed womb healing guide, certified fertility awareness method educator and vaginal steam facilitator, with my Masters in Social Work. 

I used to have such debilitating period pain that I was stuck in bed nauseous, squirming, and moaning. I could barely walk from my bed to the bathroom without laying on the wooden floor halfway through the 10 steps.

What I realized is that underneath all this pain was trauma, wanting to be heard and held and witnessed. I learned how to listen to the messages beneath the pain and heal from there.

And not only did I explore and process my own trauma, I looked at the trauma in my lineage because I come from a lineage of Holocaust survivors.

I blend my certifications, schooling, and personal healing experience to now support my clients in healing their wombs and coming home to their bodies.
